Hi, I am a new to the Forum, would be grateful for any advice:
Recently had problem with clutch judder & noise/vibration from engine bay on my A3 2.0 TDI Sport (04 plate).
Audi diagnosed problem as a faulty flywheel which has cost me £730 to be replaced. Unfortunately warranty had just run out, but dealer supposedly gave me a discount as a 'good will' gesture, (initially quoted £1290!).
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Car has only done 45,000 miles and I don't thrash it.
Car was recalled last year for problems with dual mass flywheel, but was told mine was not in faulty batch. (They have problems with springs failing?). Seems a big coincidence to me!
Is it worth me writing to Audi UK? Dealer advised little chance of getting money back as they will class it as a wear & tear item. I don't hold much hope!
