My manufactures warranty has now expired :(, do i extend it or what?
Just wondered if there were any specific faults people have experienced in which case it may be in my interest to update the warranty, or indeed if anybody uses their cover or just maintains the vehicle through other sources / non-vw garages ?? All views appreciated thanks...
ALSO....
Id be interested to hear how many owners stick to the VW garages for services,MOT etc. Or use private owned ??
Just after everyones views really to help make my decision.

If its out of warranty then id use a independant specialist to maintain the car, why pay over the odds at VW.

Just make sure you buy VW parts if your worried

When my VW warranty expires next June I plan to put away the equivalent monthy £ in a separate account to help cover any"unplanned events". If they don't happen, I will have a "pot" for the future replacement.

Cheers chaps, i've spoke to a few mates too who were of the same opinion, i am a little put off with VW prices,£250 for the DSG oil change, a further £230 plus for the full service with filter change . . . i know a couple of reliable garages so probably going to take it there . . . ;)

Indy's are the way to go - but - an extended warranty is a little iffy.... A third party one tends to be full of get-out clauses and a dealer one is expensive.

As above, I'd put money to one side for big bills....
