Heater not working

130pd 2001 variant..166K.

a month ago on trip up and down to scotland, heating fine. Now engine get to 90 indocated, however only cold air comes out the vents in the passenger cabin, regardless of setting on the controls.. Any ideas where to look ?:1zhelp:

Lets hope you turned heat off and now heat valve is stuck shut. If not you may have an airlock in the heater and this is often the first sign that a head gasket failure is just starting. Find the pipes going to and from the heater and see if they are both hot.

Thank you for the advice Martin..looks like it the head / head gasket.. So its coming apart on Tuesday for pressure testing and planning..all the fluid appears to be vanishing from the expansion bottle and there is a large amount of oil misting over the nearside of the engine ancilarries.. So :beerchug: to you for the help..now I just need to dig into the xmas funds to get the car back on the road...
