well after my past problems ive decided not to take my car back to the garage that buggered it up when they serviced it.
so im going to have a go at repairing the broken scuttle panel.
ordered the new part so should have it by the weekend.
any tip on changing it? i know crasher said they are very brittle and can brake easily.
im guessing its a straight forward job but can see what holds it in place around the pollum filter area?
hopfully this will cure my water leek.

How much is a new one as I'm missing mine.
Cheers
JAmes.
Won't cure the leak around the pollen filter. You need to remove it and replace the gasket under the filter housing.

changed the scuttle panel today quite a easy straight forward job the hardest part was getting one of the wipers off.
not bothered with resealing the rest of the box yet as it was getting dark,
when i removed the filter its was dripping wet again there was also water underneath it.
time will tell if its worked going by the weather i,l know soon enough

When refitting, don't press the scuttle in too hard on the bottom of the windscreen. Maybe I was unlucky because it was the day after when it cracked and I had to have a replacement screen.
I got the wipers off easily using a hammer and suitably sized combination spanner as a wedge. Hard to describe but it worked well with no damage to anything.
