Audi A4 1.9 TDi

[need help]

Hi all new to this but thought i would give it ago. Right are you all sitting comfortably then i will begin.
Just brought my self an Audi A4 i.9 TDi on an 02 plate had it about 2 weeks and all was well until today. Every time i accelerate their is a strange fan noise which sounds like it is coming from the air vents. But the aircon unit is switched off the noise lasts for a couple of seconds then go's off again. Then once i change gear the same thing happens......

Can anyone help or has anyone had this happen to you? :aargh4:

yeah, he did get it sorted in the end, about 2.4 years ago. twas the maf, apparently.

i am having a similar problem

I get a hissing noise when I accelerate while moving through the gears

I also notice that i cannot sometimes rev above 3200rpm
