We had this car from new - no major problems in 86,000 miles. Suddenly we have a problem: may be the result of smacking a rock in the track rather hard - it hit the cross-member below the front seats. The ECU Light is permanently on when the ignition is on. Switch off the engine and the rev counter and fuel guage don't return to zero. Switch on, and the guages return to zero, and there's a grinding or arc-ing noise in the dashboard. The car starts and runs normally. Any ideas for the cause, and the fix, would be gratefully received.
