hi! i own a 1996 audi a4 tdi B5 model.

my current steering wheel is falling apart, and was hoping a new shape one would fit..

I want to keep an OEM feel, so just wondering what options i have?
any AUDI/VW/SEAT/ etc option considered :)

thanks

You could get a sport wheel from a B5, three spoke and leather wrapped. It looks good and has a chrome S logo on it. I have it, I love it. The placement of the spokes is just right for the long haul driving where you keep 1 finger on the wheel and just relax drive!

hey, cheers for the reply. does this fit the earlier models as well? before the facelift?
if so, have you got any pics of the wheel? cheers :)

spline mount size was changed early 98 so anything later wont fit your car
they all look post 98 so wont be any good

For for a 1996 cold weather package wheel. It looks just like the S line wheels.

I'm working on finding the part number so I can link you to one. I have one in my car, it'd be for sale for the right price ;) It came with mine, so I didn't order it or anything, otherwise I'd have a part number for you now! But I'm working on it!

with you being based in the united states, i reckon it'll cost me too much :( but feel free to PM me a price, so that we dont get told off on here haha

part number would be great so thanks for the help!

Ok, well the good news is that you need this part number: 4A0419091BAAS1

The bad news is that it isn't available anywhere anymore and I cannot tell you when we could get it. We could put an order in and have it tomorrow, or in seven months when someone audits the VW warehouse. Also, this is the wheel only, not the air bag.

So since you are pre-facelift, you kind of don't have options unless you can find a wrecked 96.

If, knock on wood, I ever total my car, I'll be sure to take my wheel and you can have it for however much it costs to ship it to you plus your wheel, as I'm sure my insurance company will wonder why the car has no wheel in it ;)
