Can anyone help me with turning off the service warning that comes up on the display, every time i turn the car on it makes a "BING" noise then says "SERVICE", but mileage wise its too early for the service, so i need it to stop!!!???
would the service interval come on even though the mileage isnt there yet just because of a time set also????

would love to do this without using VAGcom if possible!?
thanks

Ask on the golf thread. Same engines but lots more owners so someone will know.

When you say it isn't time for a service yet, what do you mean? Even on variable life the maximum is two years. And if you have been giving it some shoe the service warning can come up quicker than you might think.
