.... a Toyota forum! I have finally got rid of my much loved 2001 Passat 130 Tdi estate, having traded it in against a 2007 Avensis estate. The Passat had 233k on the clock and was really starting to sound a little rough. Radiator leaking like crazy, second drive-shaft wearing out, and shocks needed replacing too. Just time to change as there had been a lot of bills once I passed 190k. Already impressed by Avensis, the new chain-cam engine returning 54mpg on a run yesterday, smoother ride, more gear etc. Anyway, thanks to you all for all the advice and help in last few years. PS Got £500 for Passat as trade-in, not too bad as I'd lost the service book too.

im a member of the toyota owners club if that's the 1 you going too , great lads in there , parts on toyotas are expensive if they go wrong ,but seldom do .


well done on getting to 233k in the passat - a true testament to vw.
