Seat alhambra electrics

1999 seat alhambra electrics seem to have a mind of their own! it keeps blowing heater fan fuse,doors keep locking themselves and sometimes electric windows work themselves among other things.Has anyone any ideas?they'd be much appreciated, Other than electrics car runs like a dream, oh forgot to mention sometimes on a run Diesel light comes on and car loses power,Won't accelerate, need to stop and restart car then all ok till next time,can be very intermittent,sometimes weeks apart,Please Help!!!

Hi, i owned a 1998 (R) 1.9 tdi and had the same faults. It seems that the wiring between the door pillars and doors/tailgate and body, becomes brittle and breaks ! You need to pull the rubber covers back and check ! I now own a 2001 Tdi and it has got the same problems !! (sucker for punishment !) The wiring connectors that come from the ECU to the loom behind the battery become full of water and muck, this causes strange electrical faults ! Hope this helps.
