Hi Passat experts,
I have discovered I need to change the nearside outer CV boot. Can anyone offer advice on best way to change please? It's a 30v 4 Motion Auto. A friend said using a cone tool may avoid the need to split the joint. What's the big problem with this anyway? Are there any pitfalls to avoid?
I learned a lesson in the past with my Vauxhall to always use genuine OEM boots. It's not worth saving a couple of pounds when you have to do the job twice as often.
Thanks.
