Will Skoda Octavia seats fit into a Passat?

Does anyone know if the half leather seats fitted to the Octavia VRS (not the latest shape) would fit into a Passat B5? They look virtually identical and someone has suggested they may fit? Any ideas??

Octavia is based on the Golf so the floor pans are different.

I don't think they'll fit without some major fabrication of runners

simply because there are three sets of vrs seats on ebay! the ones you have aren't too easy to come by!
