passat headlamps

Hi and thanks in advance for any help given.
Has onyone out there changed the front headlamps on a 2005(teardrop shape) passat? I have had a quick look and i was concerned that i may have to remove a lot of the front plastics to carry out the job,any help would be appreciated :confused::confused::confused:
