Hi guys,

Im looking for wheel bearing replacements for the front.

Is it better to change the whole hub?

Any rough ideas on how much its going to cost for the part? (hub)

Is it hard to replace?

Thank You in advance

Hi

You cannot replace the front wheel bearings on their own, The bearings come complete fitted to their casing. The are secured to the hub by four bolts and are quite easy to replace

hi,

GSF should do the part as i got a rear wheel bearing off them not so long ago, so worth giving them a call. if i remember correctly the part was around £70ish. i got a friend to help me change mine and he said it wasnt too hard.
cheers,

Hi Everyone I am quite new to all this forum stuff but i need HELP.

My mechanic is changing the front wheel bearings on my a4 1997 1.8 and he asked me to pick up pinch bolts and nuts for the top wish bone???? i work in a town where we have an audi garage phoned them and asked them if they had some, and he sent me a diagram of lots of bolts and arms asking for a part number can any one help? other wise it is going to be another day delayed getting the bearing changed. if any one can help that would be great.

Thanks

Your in the wrong forum mate. This is for B6 Audis, 2002-2005. You have a B5 Audi :)

Some one in there is probably more able to help you :)
