I've seen quite a few RS4's badged as 1.9TDIs but what would you make of this? :D

I saw a Micra with " 6.0 W12 "

thought that was quite funny.

that is quite funny, good when car owners have a genuine sense of humour

unlike little corsa boys who put Porsche turbo badges on their cars - now that is funny but not in a good way

or stick LED lights on it! However, nr to where i live there is a 2002 spec TT going around with LED lights. What is striking bout it, it actually looks like a genuine fit. Not some tacky LED strip of the net. (if you look at most factory fit cars with LED lights, like audi, austin martin, merc, etc) they seem to to be fitted in some kind of lens.

very true, I was out in Edinburgh last night and the amount of absolute sheds driven by little chavs that had LED lights all over them was ridiculous - there were one or two very clever modifications but unfortunately the owners had spoiled these by completely overdoing it elsewhere on the car.

Anyway sorry, back on topic I think you should indeed stick them on the back of our car mate

I like the A0 but Audi do a 4.2 TDi I think as per the Q7this is not as clever. If you are having the A0 I would see if I could get a 4.8 or go the other way and get a 1.1 or an eco / hybrid badge on he back.

Personally the less writing on the car the better anything that shouts I HAVE A 4.2 LITRE TDI engine I think is CRASS Subtle appreciation of those in the know is enough. For example silver wing mirrors. Or two twin exhausts as per the BMW M5.

Less is more

I think with badges (we donīt need no steenking badges !!) They can give many and varied messages both about the owner or the car.
I like the idea of humour or disguise but it all depends on what you have under the bonnet! When I had a Golf VR6 I blacked out all the emblems just so it was not so nickable!! But the best vehicles are "Q" cars! I had a couple of years back a BMW M5 (E34 model) de-badged it and when bored and looking for childish entertainment I would go for an Autobahn trip and wait for Big Mercs or chrysler 300c s to give it some!! and then waste them with the absolutely brilliant spread of power. Now I like the look of my car (s-line) but do not have a big engine so I pootle around being happy that it has no badges but looks the part. (all **** and no balls).

Dunk (but to try and deliberately pass a car of as something better than it is, mmh! (ie. like Quattro or S-line when they are not))

Today? An Avant in Essex? Too much of a coincidence to be my Mrs surely???

My thought process :

Badges are a one way thing. If it comes off it won't go back. I wasn't sure about debadging so I ordered it with them on.

Step one was removing the model and engine.

I may keep it as is or I may remove the quattro. Not sure yet. I need to get used to the new rear before I decide. ;)

I recently saw what looked like an Escort RS Turbo, a really good paint and body job and what they had done was used some of the letters in ESCORT plus a D presumably from the diesel to produce SORTED on the rear bootlid and judging by how quickly it got away, I think it had been!

Well.. i hope i didn't offend you and your lonesome quattro badge.
I dont think it was your car, while it was a blue avant, it was also a bit dirty.

Could have been. Did you notice a big silver load protector stuck on near the bottom of the tailgate?

p.s. If it wasn't in Harlow then either my car's been nicked or it wasn't her :D

p.p.s. No offence taken at all. I'm not sure if it'll stay or go yet so I'm not gonna defend it ;)

...or she was on a secret MI5 mission you know nothing about. I'd better shut up now before I get arrested for breaking the Official Secrets act ;)

If it were me it would be all or nothing on the back - the q all on its own might look a little odd.

But then again I am from the add [S-Line grill] badge fraternity :p
