not really, most BHP gains are around 45/50 anyway and if certain things are uprated, no reason why you cant see 200bhp out of the 1.9 tdi ;)

very good,

So, after you have finished listing all the modification to the insurance company, how many thousands of pounds did they quote you?

£122 pm lol,

it was running at 200 but was bringing loads of black smoke out so it went back to be reduced

Good God!!!!!!!!

Thats nearly 1500 quid per year!!!!!!!!!! They saw you coming.

Having said that age and postcode to vary things vastly too.

Looks do come at a price, but not that price.

Every advantage (looks in this case) has its disadvantage (insurance in this case)

Does one offset the other?
Not in my opinion.

I pay £1700 quid a year insurance anyway......(3rd party only on a 10K car!!!!) No mods....

Just a 21 yr old male, who lives in a crappy postcode.:zx11:

I was paying £1300 on a mitsubishi evo in Northern Ireland!!!! You must live in a really rough area!!!

The area aint that bad (30 seconds away from Man City's new ground) but theres a fairly big park called clayton vale on my door step. and that where the cars from the surrounding areas, (moston, harperhey, newton heath, moss side even) all end up, dumped in the "red river" and then burn't out.

The area cant be that bad if i'm confident enough to insure my motor as third party only.....

I can only imagine this as the reason for the stupendous price. I did a lot of shopping around as well and ended up using an irish insurer called Quinn direct.

Anyway, just give myself a slap on the wrist....

Back on topic if you will, lol

Car looks brill mate... mines black and looks good for about half an hour after i've washed it, then looks filthy again.

im the same... 22 fully comp insurance and i pay £1500 a year.... it was either that or drive a micra which would probably cost as much in repairs :p

The car more than justifies the cost of insurance - good work
