Remote central locking fob.

Hi guys, i have a 98 passat, but dont have a remote fob or key with buttons, im not sure which its supposed to work with either, but im looking to get hold of something as im fed up of turning the key .


ive had a look on ebay, but im still none the wiser as to which i should buy.


Any help ?

hi mate,
im prety sure you should have remote central locking.i have a 1997 passat and i have at although i cant get it to work at the moment.if you pop down to your local dealer they might be able to run your reg plate and tell you if it was added or not.

Get a list of the codes from either the handbook, or the sticker in the spare wheel well (all 3 digits like 3G7) and put them in here to see what options are on your car.

is there a code for remote central locking? all my codes seem to be related to the cra and not the optional extras
