Hi, Over the last few months noticed that my cupra R 3rd gear is whinning on change down from forth gear and slowing down in 3rd without touching the clutch, never going up the gears. So I took it to seat as its under seat used car warranty and they have said that its the synchro on 3rd??? didnt think it whinned only crunched when sychro was broken. Now comes the http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/images/smilies/furious.gif bit, I have to pay them £561 to strip and remove the syn's for seat's inspection to see wether I have been ragging the **** of it( which I havnt, cant afford to) and wether they will pay for the problem!!! I have only put 7k on the thing since buying last year(bought at 54k). Now I have been doing a bit of research online and it seems that im not the only one to have this problem, does this sound like synhro problem or gearing. Any advise will be much appreciated.
