Help: Fitting reverse camera to B6 Passat

Im currently installing an aftermarket double din satnav / dvd / bluetooth / freeview/ reversing camera unit into my passat.

I have got it all working except from the auto switch for the reversing camera.

The unit has a pink wire labeled reverse switch. However I do not know what to connect it too.

The car is a 2006 55 plate SE 2.0 tdi manual with parking sensors.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Not clued up much on this stuff! BUT Its suppose to go to the live wire on you reverse light in the boot ;) the sane on your parking sensors are attached to

Thanks for the reply.

I will take a look at connecting the cable to the positive of the reverse lights.

Thinking about it it could also be possible for me to take a feed from the parking sensors button which of course is in a closer area of the car.

I will report back how I get on.

hi gwynn007 you need to take the feed from the grey white wire on the blue connector in the boot behind the left side wheel arch cover its just under the parcel shelf. ive put pics already about this on the post marked sat nav units on ebay if you want to have a look..
