I have a 2001 A6 2.4SE Multitronic which is a great car but has a few minor things to iron out. Top of the list is a problem with the buttons on the multi-function steering wheel which has the CD / Radio controls fitted (ie not telephone).
When I turn the cars side/headlights on, the lights behind the buttons on the wheel come on but start to flash immediately (on for about 1s and then off for about 1s).
Can anyone advise what might be causing this and (more importantly) how I might be able to stop it? My only thought is it may have something to do with an after market phone kit which was fitted but before I got the car was removed?
