Hi, help needed... 3 weeks ago the plastic liner on a cambelt tensioner shattered ( despite having had it changed just 30,000 miles ago along with the water pump and cambelt)- we have managed to change this, there is normal engine compression- but now we arnt getting any fuel through to the engine.
engine is turning over normally, but nothing is coming up from the pump, so it just isnt firing... any help please ?
where is the pump located / ( we have no Haynes manual!)- is it electric or mechanical ?
Any advice gratefully received !!
Its an R reg, passat sport, estate 1998.
If its a case of a new pump- any ideas on costs ?
