Hi

Audi a4 1.9 tdi 130 sport saloon electric windows all round i think full closure alarm 100000 miles bought 2m ago

First problem the key fob remote had to be within afew feet of the car to operate doors etc. So i changed the key fob battery-no change.

Then side lights started flashing more than the usual after loccking all doors remotely and alarm use to go off as it pleased especialy at night.

Eventualy battery went dead so got jump leads-the alarm carried on as usual-faulty.

Then the drivers door was completely electrically dead.

The key fob still unlocked/locked the other doors but then this failed stopped as well.

so finaly got time off -went to vw specialist he told me the battery faulty and main emu under passenger front seat feet area faulty-48+228+labour

However after doing all this the key fob does not operate doors/boot but yes all doors and windows back on

Have to put keys in ignition to unlock other doors and key to unlock drivers door-alarm not going off when it is NOT supposed to so result.

What i think has happened-battery was on the way out and not closing a door properly and jump starting damged the emu.

But why does my key fob no longer work. Why would it need reprogramming- i tried the press a button and turn the key in the door once -as per instructoins in the manual-but no joy

This specialist says he stripped the drivers door to check wiring and all well.

Any suggestions now? This vw specialist did have a hand held but did not have data for my A4-but it did tell him before the repairs it could not communicate with the 2 front doors.

Help before i spend even more money!
