My Alhambra handbrake needs to be adjusted, lots of clicks are required to get the handbrake to bite and even then, it is not tight enough.
I assume there is adjustment somewhere in the cables, but where?
I have pulled the trim off inside the car but could not find any ajustment. Is it under the car?

It is self adjusting

I understand that there is a self adjusting mechanism in the caliper, but surely there must be an adjustment in the cable to allow for cable stretch?

FYI - there is.
Between the first part of the handbrake cable and where it splits down each rear suspension arm, there is an adjuster.
Thanks for your replies though.

That is not designed as a means to adjust the hand brake Due to the automatic rear wheel brake adjustment there is no requirement to adjust the handbrake after making new/initial adjustment.

Except for perhaps the cable stretching, as happens with all handbrake cables?

Quote ( lots of clicks are required to get the handbrake to bite and even then, it is not tight enough.) i doubt very much that the cables have streched that much

Could worn discs or pads be an issue?
