Cant Lock Passenger Door

Hi hope someone can help. I purchased an Audi A2 a week ago and when we went to go out tonight the passenger door would not open from the outside. I opened the door from the inside and now the passenger door wont lock at all with the central locking. Does anyone have any idea how i can lock the door ????? Please

i would suspect a rod has come off inside the door.
Looks like you'll be stripping the door this weekend.
