Sun Glasses Holder will not stay closed

Apologies if this has been covered before (tried a search with no success)- 07 plate Passat 2.0 Tdi SE has been a great work horse for over 2 years now but a minor 'fault' has recently occured as per heading, the sunglasses holder keeps springing open:zx11:

Is this a well know problem/does a solution exist?

Had mine replaced under warranty with no arguments. Mines a 57 plate.....

Sounds like the clip that holds it in place is broken or the hole it's supposed to go into is bunged up.
Short term answer, duct tape (one of the two tools every land rover owner needs)
