Just had my TDI 130 (2002) back from Audi having a new alarm horn and door catch fitted. They mentioned that they had found an old code in the management system relating to a temperature sensor fault (£130) to repair. I have never until now had any problem with the coolant but now all of a sudden my dash lights up with a coolant problem. As I don't want to pay 130 for Audi to replace the sensor, has anyone out there changed the sensor? is it the one in the ebgine block? as I can get a new one from tinterweb for about £20.
Since then though have noticed what I thought was oil on drive, audi have since said I have small leak in the radiator, so was thinking that this might be coolant, and would therefore explain above problem?
Any ideas on changing radiator for a new / recon radiator, how much work involved? and at what cost
Any help on any of the above matter would be appreciated.
