Starting Woes

Hi,

I have been having a really annoying starting problem with my !.9 TDi (ATJ) 2000 (W).
First thing in the morning or after its been stopped for a while, it starts for a fraction of a second then dies, it will start again after about a minute of turning over repeatedly.
Sometimes its a bit lumpy after it eventually starts but other than that it runs fine (full power, ecenomical, norml Passat).

Can anyone shed any light on this one for me?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get a fault code read. Sounds like glowplugs not coming on.

The car is showing NO Fault Codes and the Glow Plug where changed at the beginig of the year.

Any other ideas??

Cold start valve in the pump which alters the injection timing when cold?

Is there anyway of testing your theory out?

BUT...is the glowplug relay turning the glowplugs on. Do you have voltage at the glowplugs.
