Where is the thermostat located on an Audi 80 2.0 4 cylinder? I just bought it for $800.00 and I have no heat.

if its an early one the thermostat is on the bottom of the water pump held on with 2 10mm bolts

Is the water pump underneath the engine? I am new with this type of car and not sure what I am doing. Is there anything I have to remove to get to it? Thank you for your response.

the waterpump is located on the right of engine just level with sump when you look at front
the thermostat can be changed in situ

Thank you for your response. I have been told that I need to replace my heater core. I have no idea how to do that, so it seems that I will need to pay someone to do it. Thank you again.
