I'm new :)

I'm new to the vw scene, recently bought a mk 2 golf gti 8v. Can anyone recommend an exhaust? I've been looking at Ashley, Scorpion and Milltek.

I can't make up my mind lol.

Hi and welcome.

I have a Mongoose exhaust fitted from the downpipe back on my Mk2 Golf 1.8 GL. Its really good. Quiet when necessary, purrrrrs at 2000rpm and roars when pushed. Yet it still doesn't drone at motorway speeds which is great.

It took a while to arrive but they had to modify the downpipe from an 8v GTI as the downpipe is 1mm different! However, when my mate whos a mechanic fitted it, he said its a very well built piece of kit.

Here is what mine looks like. I recommend them.

That does look quite good. Well after a weekend of searching for a Scorpion system with a dtm backbox, to no avail, I gave up and went for a jetex system. Arrived at the shop today and get's fitted 2moro :biglaugh: Reverse light switch and Caliper's next lol.
