Setting the Clock to adjust automatically

I have read the manual (yes RTFM) and am still baffled as to how to set the clock to adjust automatically via RDS? This is an S-Line Exec without Sat Nav (controls are on the Symphony) and the std Date/Time setting requires manual adjustment. Any clues?

Just go into the MMI car set-up and click on the correct menu ie Time and date.

I don't understand why they persist in using the transmitters for the time :zx11:

8 years ago this same issue was on my Audi TT. It would work on German cars in Germany but not elsewhere. Since the radios are RDS why not simply take the time off that?

p.s. Just set it manually. It's only twice a year to correct it ;)
