i know you guys probably get this all the time, but i'm new to here and i am thinking about buying a golf GTI 1.8T.

i have seen one which is a black 5 door model with 93000 on the clock for 3650, with tinted rear windows.

just a few questions:

do you think this is a good price for the golf?
is there anything i need to look for when looking around/test driving it? i.e. problems e.t.c
what sort of mileage am i looking to get from it? i will not be thrashing the car around, i may be 19 but not that sort of person.

the car looks really tidy throughout, but i am told that all VAG cars age really well and are solidly built.

three doors look better... what mark golf do you want? i take it for that price its a mk4. that seems like a reasonable price. yesterday i went to southend to pick up a mk3 gti i bought on ebay, stopped off at hemel hempstead to go clubbing on the way back, and the bouncer offered me a mk4 2.0 6speed turbo for my car plus 2 and a half.....hope that helps. look on ebay theres loads cheap on there
