V5 coil pack problems

Hi there. Every time my friends v5 goes in for a service and the plugs are changed, the coil packs seem to play up with misfire. Its an 02 plate, 3 coil packs replaced in the past year. Is there a life expectancy for these? Many thanks.

It happens to me all the time when I change plugs on a coil on plug car and I use the proper puller and silicon grease on the plug insulator. I always warn the customer that it may happen. Basically the coil sticks to the plug and pulling the coil off the plug stresses the coil and they pack up a few days/weeks later-nothing that you can do about it apart from the plugs only have to be changed every 4 years or 37000 miles so why are they being changed at each service?

Thanks for that, Crasher. I do not really know why they were changed, they were only done last service. After reading the invoice, i feel that they may be bumping the cost up to their benefit and not the customers. A few things in there that i wouldn't have felt were needed.
