If you are dealing with highland Audi then you should get an automatic 8-9% off the price of the BASIC!! car without bartering. The problem is that the EXTRAS are expensive and are not included. Go for a well specd car as standard ie. s-line EXEC etc that appears in the Audi brouchure and go from there. BUT!! I warn you now!!?!! they are CRAP at customer service and product knowledge.

Not Bad!! By paying for my car in EURO, but buying from Audi UK I managed to squeeze a total of 38% (on the German recomended price on the road) it was not easy but I have that lovely warm feeling that I can actually sell my car and make five to six thousand EURO profit, but I bought the car that I wanted (almost)!!?!! and i think that it is SOOOO! much better than the alternatives that are available ie. merc, Bmw.

If you want to get the max discount (remembering the franchise has a margin- you just dont know what it is!) then DO "YOUR" HOMEWORK. Get on the Audi configurator spec your car, get the rrop price and print of that list. Then set YOURSELF a realistic target, write it down on the bottom of the list along with the address and Telephone number of a major UK Audi dealer and then enter the battle. The dealership is not your friend! There job is to relieve you of as much money as possible and maximise there own profit (sometimes achieving sales targets can affect their decision) but if you go in confident and knowledgeable you can minimise the the sales patter ******** and get a good deal. And at the end of the day if they do not want to play ball-MOVE ON- to the next dealership, and as you walk out turn around look the salesperson in the eye and say "look mate you need to be paddling a lot faster as the banjo music is getting louder!"
