Bought a (x)2001 Audi A3 T sport on 17/02/07 on test driving the car found a problem with the engine management light, which they agreed to fix.

Within half hour of picking it up a week later the clutch went:( , so took it back to garage.

Gave me vauxhall astra curtesy car for the week it was being repaired.

Collected following week and within an hour of picking it pulled in on double yellows to drop someone out and couldn't pull away coz wouldn't let me get it into gear!:( waited for an hour and half for collection from garage, luckily didn't get a ticket.

In garage for further week as they'd only replaced slave cylinder when master had gone. Ford Mondeo curtesy car:mad:

Picked car up again and clutch peddle felt odd, hard to explain exactly only that when putting your foot on peddle once gear engaged peddle came up a lot further and made a popping sound.

Took to Audi specialist who said there was air in the fluid? checked car over for me and said that although it had been advertised as Full Service history and had done 114,000 miles it hadn't had a combelt done.

Took it back to garage to say about above and they agreed to look at clutch peddle and do cambelt change and look at engine management light as had come on again (3rd time) 2 coil pack before had been changed. Received Ford Mondeo again:mad: as curtesy car.

Collected car for third time having had cambelt done, crank shaft sensor replaced and clutch looked at, had car for 3 days and engine management light came on again:confused: , so took back to garage and they agreed to send to audi for repairs as if Audi couldn't fix it who can??

Toyota Avensis curtesy car:o horrible car with nasty stearing pump oil leak and no radio  previous person lost it!!

Three weeks I have been waiting and finally collected the car on friday last week and guess what two days later and engine management lights back on the garage was charged £1900 by audi to fix this and appeared to have replaced the crank shaft sensor:confused:

I've told them I don't want this vehical and they have agreed to take it back, what I want to know is this usual with audi I really liked the car and the performance was great but this is really wearing on my patience:aargh4:

I've edited your post to put some spaces in, big long paragraphs make my head hurt :(

You were right to reject the car.

I think you picked a lemon, have a read through the posts and you'll find the odd problem (people only visit to post problems remember) but nothing like the farce you experienced.

Full VAGSH is what you want on your next Audi

Finally, welcome aboard!

I agree, bad luck. You did the right thing. Look around there will be another and I do not think this is typical ;)
