I am lucky enough to be getting a 2.0TDi tomorrow and luckier still that a little windfall recently means that I am now considering buying some aftermarket RS4 style wheels and tyres to replace the standard 17" that the car will be delivered with.
Can anybody suggest what tyres I should have fitted to these - I havent decided whether to go for 18 or 19" yet either so any feedback on that point would be gratefully received too...
Thanks in advance
James
Hi,
Wifey's swapping her A3 for a new TT 2.0TDi on Friday, and it has 19" wheels factory fitted. If nobody else gets back to you in the meantime, I will check the tyre size when it's collected on Friday and let you know.
Edit.
I just checked the brochure, and the tyres are 255/35 R19 Y
For the 18" wheels, the tyres are listed as 245/40 R18 Y
Edit 2.
Just spotted this in the A5 section. Might be worth checking if these are the correct offset for the TT - if so, might be a bargain?

Thanks for that reply and the link - very kind of you to go to so much trouble.
Been looking around and found some nice RS4 style polished/anthracite wheels online for £299 so think going to go for that.
Still undecided on what tyres to choose though so any advice gratefully received.
Hope you enjoy your TT as much as I do mine - I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!
