Hi,
I have a 2003 , 1,2L polo. After the car went for the annual testing ( including brake test) , the ABS light remains on. I have tried the abs on slippery surfaces and obviously it stopped working.
Where should I start the troubleshooting, and has somebody a schema of how the Polo abs system is working?

You need a code read to identify where the fault is.

Thanks. Where do you recommend to buy or find a tester for that. I live in Belgium , close to Brussels.

Check these fuses on the battery, the large strip fuse 6 cracks so slightly that without removing it you often cannot see it is cracked.

Crasher,
you are right, the fuse number 6 is cracked. GREAT ADVISE here.
Now this is a strange fuse because integral with the rest of the fuses.

Crasher,
I made a dummy fuse with a piece of steel wire, and the Abs light went out after driving 20 meters. Great job man, and again thanks.

I suggest you buy a proper fuse from a VW dealer on Monday as a piece of wire may not blow when it needs to. It would also be a good idea to get the ABS cleared of codes when you have the opportunity.
