1st Gear problems – STILL

Some time ago, along with other members and other threads, I complained about the occasional difficulty of getting into first gear from a standstill.

Despite the dealer fitting a new gearbox, I am still having the same problem (which mirrors the same situation with the previous A4 (B7) that I had).

How are other members, new members getting on? Have you contacted Audi, or just put up with the problem? Have any solutions being offered? Any found?

As ever, I would be grateful for any information.

My B6 S4 suffered with this and never was properlly resolved.

My 2009 A4 also had this and I was quite disappointed that the issue seemed to have carried over from the previous platform.

I'm really glad that the 2010 A4 I now have has a much better feeling gearbox. I just hope it's not a temporary thing :(

My B7 20TDI has always been stiff getting into first gear.

Its just one of those things
