View Full Version : Please Help TCM Transmission Control Module location B7 Avant?

Hi,

I need to locate the TCM in my 2005 B7 Avant. I have seen that previous models had TCM located under front passenger carpet, has the location changed?

If so, please send me specifics ("in CVT" will not help).

Where can the CVT ECU be accessed? From underneath car, or via top-down?

you have to remove the rear of gearbox to access ecu

Any drawings available? Which manual would you recommend?

Thanks for reply. Classic issue with flashing PDNRS display. With VAG COM can clear DTCs to ensure CVT works. For short trips, display flashes once engine up to temperature. For longer trips, CVT begins to work fine again (after 50 miles, also higher average speed). I want to rule our connections, wiring, & TCM electronics. I get following transmission range sensor and output speed sensor errors:

same as my mates one hes going to put new ecu in his speed sensor is part of ecu
not being funny these gearboxes are not very good
the cvt was used in Daf/Volvo and Ford to no success why should Audi get it right?
