Fail on what?

A TDI will pass emmissions test remapped/unremapped - Cat fitted or not.

A petrol turbo will not pass decatted, but there's no reason it would fail emissions with the cat still there, if remapped.

its not true, if the re mapping is properly carried out you wont have any issues at all
