Hi,

I have an A4 2.0 TDI 140 55 reg with quite high milage, please can anyone help with the following issues?

when driving it seems to be very flat with very slow acceleration, it feels like the turbo is not cutting in

when im stationary with the engine ticking over, if i tap the accelerator the car does a lttle shuffle on the front end.

Thank you for taking time to read this Thread and i look forward to hearing from anyone who can help me in relation to the above.

Regards,

John

I am not a mechanic and can't diagnose your symptons - however I would say that I recently backed out of purchasing a 55 plate 2.0 TDi because after researching I found that at high mileage the oil pump on early versions of the 2.0 TDi engine are prone to giving up and wrecking the engine in the process. It can give some warning or no warning. BLB code engines are vulnerable.

I'd definitely get this looked at mate.

Hi Bez,

Thank you so much for getting in touch, the best way i can explain it is when its ticking over at normal rpm its fine, if i just give the acc pedal a really quick tap so the rpm go up it has a little shuffle to the left and then goes back to normal position and normal tickover rpm, it only lasts a split second, hope this is ok but this is how it happens.

Thanks again.

Hi Bez,

I have just been out to try it and it only moves to the left on the initial press of the pedal and stays still the rest of the time.
