Still around 7K to go before my first service but after reading in Autocar that the driver of their long term test TT 2.0TDI was charged over £408 :aargh4: for his first service at the West London Audi franchise and that he could have had the same service for £200 at a franchise in Devon I was wondering who has had their first service and what did it cost and where did they have it done?

It will be interesting to build up a picture of how much different franchises charge and establish a benchmark that we could use to negotiate service charges that ultimately could save us £100's.

I appreciate that labour rates may vary due to cost of living and business taxes but by driving a few extra miles we potentially could realise some big savings.

Ask for a discount at the dealer. I haven't done this with my Audi yet but with previous cars and my wifes Yaris I asked for a discount and got one. If it means you wil lgo back again it is worth their while to give some discount.
