ABS cable

Hi,

Does anybody know where the cable to the ABS is located? Is it near the passenger headlights? A4 B6 2003 1.9TDI. I'm finding the brakes are changing from hard to soft and back to hard. i.e. ABS seems intermittent. No complaints from the DIS. Possible damage to cable? If so, then I'm sure the DIS would complain.

This just occured to me. Are the brakes supposed to be 'soft' when applying at high speed and 'hard' when applying at slow speed? This is what I'm getting. Maybe its supposed to do that! Part of ABS I guess.
