newbie with not a clue but passion

hi guys,

currently i own a vw bora 115 tdi sport 2001. bit boring but great for motorways and work.

im looking for a vw golf mk2. used to own one when i was 20 (nw 27) and fell in love with them. the problem is my knowledge is very basic.

i dont even kno what the difference betw 8v and 16v is. which has more power and which is the general one to get.

looking for one that looks slick with modifications already done but not outrageously done.

Hi mate, welcome.
It depends a lot on how you drive as the 8v engine is torquier than the 16v, so you dont need to rev it in lower rpm range....:beerchug:
