Octavia vrs pd 170 power loss and odd noises..?

Hi there everyone not the best on a PC so bear with me..!.http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/images/icons/icon9.gif I have an Octavia VRS PD 170 on a 56 plate which I have owned for around a year or so. Not long after I got it I was driving through town and it started to lose power would not rev past 2600rpm ish and was running for the want of a better term a "like a bag of nails". took it to the garage where without checking the car they replaced an exhaust gas temp sensor according to common faults through skoda warranty. Unfortunately it still revs erratically occasionally and sound like its sucking air from somewhere when you lift off the pedal. At parking speeds and the windows open it can sound really rough it has a dual mass fly wheel I believe and wondered if that’s where the noise is coming from....? it almost feels its retarded sometimes then it picks up and goes and goes well its certainly not slow. anybody any ideas the garage is struggling and my warranty is up in December really want it fixed before then. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated I know the mechanic at my local dealer and can pass any info on to him, Thanks in advance Lewap......!!!! P.S no engine management lights have illuminated so no faults I assume have been logged.

check the inter cooler hoses the do come apart
if its this you will get alot of air suck noise and lots of black smoke on acceleration

Will have a look at the hoses cheers it burns clean as a whistle though no smoke whatever you do its only covered 7k too so hardly run in. Thanks
