Two types of pollen filter....?

TPS has two type of pollen filter listed for the B6 A4 - one I guess is a paper filter costs something like 7 quid - the other is a charcoal one - about 13 quid. Anyone any real experience of the difference?? I guess the charcoal one is longer life or something?

As far as I know they both do the same job, filter out contaminants from entering the car. The charcoal version filters out some of the smells as well...
