Diagnostic Tool.

Sorry if I am posting too many threads, but I am new and have a lot of questions :Blush: .

Just wanted to know what diagnostic tool you guys would recommend I should get? I have a W Reg 2000 VW Passat TDI PD SE.

I am just looking for something that I can plug to my laptop and do some basic fault finding. I would like to know what software you recommend and what type of connection.
