Soft Top Storage Box sensor

Hi

I have a 05 A4 Cabrio which wont stick its top into the storage box as it thinks the storage box is in the up position (its not).
Does anyone know of a way I can check the sensor involved or the loom that goes to it?

As an aside the aerial wire in the loom that goes into the boot is also fractured, so no radio reception. Audi want to charge £560 :aargh4: to replace so I am going to try and fix it myself.

Could these two things be related I wonder?

for the ariel wire its 20 quid from audi goes from boot to front of car just ask them for repair wire easy to fit in
