On my 2004 Audi A4 I did the required service and reset the service display.
It currently shows dashes. Will it ever reset or did I do something wrong?

Thanks,,

John

Drive for a few days and then it will settle down and give you a new service date - this is normal.

Ya, can take about 500 miles for it to show up.

Yep, this is what I do with mine as I get it serviced at my local garage, rather than pay the stupid Audi labour rates.

All independant garages have service reset tools.
Mine has just had a service at an independant and has the same dashes as you describe on the service display.

If you take it to an Audi dealership, will the same thing happen, or do they use a special service reset tool?

Regards
Al.
