Hi

I have a audi a4 on a 2001, i have replaced front discs and pads 6 months ago. For the past few months i have started to notice a metal clanging noise everytime i go over a speed bump/pot hole from the front passenger side.
The noise only dissapears when applying the brake over the bumps. There is always a rotational brake squeal coming from this side when coming to a halt. Occasionaly when driving around 30mph i hear a rotational squeal, without even pressing the brake. I have replaced the pads again but the noise does not go away, does anybody have any suggestions on what the problem is?

i have been told it could be something to do with the calliper or the metal clips.

exactly the same problem with mine. i got told it is cheap pads that dont fit correctly. the spring clips that go in the pistons dont hold them tight enough.
