Has anyone fitted the proper xenon headlights to their passat B5? ('97-'00) (i.e. the whole headlight unit, not just xenon bulbs into the standard headlights) Is there a real difference? They look amazing and I could be tempted to buy a set. This is what they look like;

I've been thinking about the same thing. I saw a B5 behind me today it had an angel eye conversion on it and it looked wicked! I did find a site with the conversion kit for around £180- I will find that site again and let you know.

I have a 99 1.8T SE with Factory Fit Xenons on board, not as good as my 52 plate Laguna Tourer. The Laguna units look similar to the lower spec apart from a grey band running along the bottom of the unit.

I have the factory fitted bi-Xenons on my 52-plate Passat Sport 130. Brilliant ! You will need to fit the headlamp washers and self levelling headlight mechanism to to be legal though. Lot of work even if you can source all the parts/harness etc.
